El Requexón today hosted the latest league fixture for Real Oviedo Vetusta.  Emilio Cañedo's side picked up a point, having drawn 0-0 with Inter de Madrid.
Los Carbayones, who outplayed their opponent, emerged at El Requexón aware of the importance of getting a positive result to make up for defeat against the league leader last weekend.  Los Azules took command of the first half and created the best chances, in a half which was heavily-influenced by a downpour.  Javi Mier hit the post, while Javi Cueto had a goal disallowed by the referee, as the hosts looked to open the scoring, but the sides went in for halftime with the score 0-0.  The match continued in a similar vein after the interval, with Real Oviedo Vetusta generating danger in the opponent's box and trying to find the way through.  Rober Alarcón had a chance to make the breakthrough, but his penalty was kept out by the Inter keeper.  Real Oviedo Vetusta ended the match camped in the away side's box, but were unable to find a winner.
The B team added another point to their tally, and will face Atlético de Madrid's B team next time out.  The fixture will be played at 15:45 on Saturday.
