Real Oviedo defender, Juan Forlín, appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón following the first team’s training session.

After the victory over Nàstic and two days back in training, the Argentinian admitted that, “you always work differently when you’ve won. We need to stay calm and keep working. There’s still a long way to go, with a lot of teams up there, but it’s the hour of truth and we have a lot to play for.” However, he stated that, “it’s not the time to make judgements. We have to just think about Friday and trying to win.”

Ahead of the next match and what he expects from the next opponent, Real Valladolid, Juan Forlín highlighted that, “they are a good team who play good football. It will be a hard match. We need to make the most of being at home in front of our fans, and make sure we get the three points.” In addition, regarding the away side’s key man, Jaime Mata, the Real Oviedo defender believes that, “in this division all of the attackers are difficult. We need to study Real Valladolid, adapt to their way of playing and look at their strengths in order to be able to combat them.”

Asked how knowing the results of rivals affects the team, the Carbayón defender said that, “I don’t care. We have to win and then look to see where we are. After that, we can begin to play for important things. It is vital to look no further ahead than Valladolid.”

Finally, with respect to how a victory against Real Valladolid would impact on the team, Juan Forlín thinks that, “it would be very important and strengthen us as a team. The group is in good form. There is competition for places, and that is good for the team,” the centre back concluded.
