Real Oviedo defender, Juan Forlín, appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón following the first team’s return to training.

The Argentinian analysed the start of the week having picked up the three points last weekend at the Carlos Tartiere. “The atmosphere after winning is always better. This has to continue; we haven’t achieved anything. Victory means we go into this week in a different manner. When we win any mistakes face less scrutiny, but I believe that there are always things to correct, although it’s easier to do so having won.”

Regarding last weekend’s match against CD Lugo, Juan Forlín highlighted that, “there were changes, and the team went for the win. We are happy with the victory, but we must minimise our mistakes. They are general errors that we discuss together. The first one is all about reversing our away form. That is the challenge facing us.” In addition, with respect to the formation used by Juan Antonio Anquela against the Galicians, the defender said that, “we gained a bit of solidity. We adapted to it well and felt comfortable on the pitch. It’s another option available to the Coach, and now it’s all about hard work.”

Asked about whether he preferred playing in defence or seeing game time in the midfield, Juan Forlín stated that, “I am here to play whether the Coach needs me. I feel comfortable as a centre back, but I’m here to help.”

Talking about the comeback against CD Lugo and the fans’ support, the Argentinian believes that, “the team has a combative spirit, and nobody drops their guard. That’s how we fought back. It wasn’t an easy match and the fans were incredible. I’m grateful to be able to experience it, and we notice it out there on the pitch. It was an exciting match, we managed to turn it around, and it’s important for the group.”

Finally, previewing the clash in Tarragona, the Carbayón defender said that, “there are no easy matches. We must focus on ourselves. We are due an away win, but we must work hard. We have another chance to change our away form, and make Sunday a nice day,” he concluded.
