Real Oviedo ended their five-week-long preseason this Sunday, in which Alvaro Cervera’s players faced hard training sessions, tough games, and an abundant workload.

Los Azules alternated their preparation between Spain and México and played friendlies against SD Lenense Proinastur, Racing de Santander, CF Pachuca, Coyotes de Tlaxcala, Racing de Ferrol, and SD Ponferradina, picking up four victories, one defeat, and one draw, with nine goals scored and four conceded.

Without a doubt, this has been a preseason that will be remembered for the team's tour of Mexico, staying at the facilities of affiliated club Pachuca. Not only were these facilities helpful in providing a place to train and stay in shape, but it was also a moment in which the synergy between the two Grupo Pachuca teams increased. There we were able to acquaint ourselves from up close with the philosophies and idiosyncrasies of the Mexican group.

Alvaro Cervera also took advantage of this preparation time by introducing various new players into the first-team dynamic, including Marco Esteban, whose debut made for positive news during this preseason.

The team from the capital of Asturias will start their LaLiga Hypermotion journey on Monday 14th August, at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López Stadium against CD Tenerife.
