Real Oviedo keeper Joan Femenías today appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón.
What evaluation do you make of these three matches? How might the pressure of not winning any of the first three games affect you?
- The evaluation is that we'd like to have more points in our tally, but that we have to remember the team's performances. We have a clear idea and attitude. We are all together and that is the path that will allow us to achieve our targets. There is no pressure. Playing with the hunger to get a victory is a motivation.
What do you think the team is lacking that would enable victories to begin to arrive? Do you think one win would change everything?
- The minor details are hurting us. When you make errors against a strong opponent they punish you. I think that we are doing things well and if we improve in the two areas then we will grow.
On Friday in the lead-up to the Espanyol fixture, the Coach said that he was in the phase of making a team. How far is this Real Oviedo side away from being one?
- Us new players have come in and we are getting to know each other. Day-by-day we are going to remain a solid group, but with even clearer ideas and better play.
You've begun the season in the starting line-up. How are you feeling?
- You aren't happy when the team doesn't get the win, but I have to keep improving. It's been easy to adapt. The team has helped me and I hope to progress, achieving objectives.
How do you see the competition with Brazao?
- Both of us came in as new signings and we have been helping each other. With the working environment, the teammates, and the similarities in aspirations, everything is there to help you be available for the team.
There are a lot of young players in the squad. Do you feel prepared to go through a situation like this one?
- It's a division which gives young players the opportunity to be among the elite. The squad is showing ambition and hunger and we have to do things well through hard work.
Did you expect to start the first three matches?
- It's not something I'd thought about. In my head, I was just thinking about the day-to-day work, being prepared for what is coming, and then I hope things go as well as possible.
