Real Oviedo has been honoured with the Oviedo Chamber of Commerce Gold Medal, an award granted by the Executive Committee of the Chamber of Commerce. It was given in recognition for our institutional development, social and economic impact on the region, as well as our role as a symbol of cohesion, pride and belonging for Oviedo and for the whole of Asturias.
The granting of this award comes during a very special year for Real Oviedo, marked by our promotion to the First Division and the celebration of our centenary. It consolidated us as a historical and current influence of Asturian sports, demonstrated by the collective feeling of thousands of fans.
The Chamber of Commerce highlighted that Real Oviedo not only represents an essential part of the sport and economic structure of the region, but also shows the value of effort, tradition and self-improvement, leaving a mark that transcends sports.
From the Club, we would like to express our deepest gratitude for this recognition, which we feel is a stimulus to help us to continue to grow, maintain our values and reinforce our commitment to Oviedo, Asturias and Oviedistas all over the world.
