The official DIGI shop in Oviedo, located at Avenida Valentín Masip 17, was the stage for the official presentation of Real Oviedo’s newest player, Alberto Reina.

The Andalusian midfielder, who was accompanied by the club's Managing Director Agustín Lleida, as well as Director of Football Roberto Suárez, appeared before the media for the first time as a Real Oviedo player.

Alberto Reina began his appearance by explaining how his signing for the Asturians had come about: "Oviedo's contact with my agent began in January, but I didn't want to know anything about it until the end of the season, I like to be clear and that's how it was until my last day with Mirandés. Professionalism in the playoff? Those who know me know what I'm like. I want to make that clear because of people who don’t know me very well who said certain things.”

Regarding his arrival in Oviedo, Reina emphasised that "the truth is that I've been very happy and content during these first few days. I'm looking forward to continuing to grow, filling up my tank, and I really want to keep improving." With regards to his reception from the group, Alberto Reina points out that "the dressing room is great, there are a lot of quality guys, I was told about it before I came and I quickly found it to be true. When I saw the press release announcing Cazorla's renewal, I breathed a sigh of relief. I was hoping he would renew, having someone like him around is a pleasure, I'm going to soak it all up and I'm sure I'll enjoy it."

When asked what it means for him to make the leap to the First Division, Alberto Reina acknowledged "I've come a long way, I've played in all the divisions and I've come from nothing. I don't think I've reached my ceiling yet, I'm very excited. I'm a all-around player who can play at different positions. I'm at the Gaffer’s disposal. I can play as a 6, 8 or 10 in the midfield, like last year."

Finally, on what he expects from his first home game at Carlos Tartiere, Alberto Reina assured us that "on this field and in this city you live and breathe football. I only see Real Oviedo shirts and that says a lot about this city," he said.
