A wonder goal from Dario Hidalgo from inside his own half during the final minutes was enough to provide Real Oviedo Vetusta with a 1-0 win and three vital points today at El Requexón. The B team had dominated the majority of the encounter, and were able to add a second consecutive victory, moving onto 25 points and into fourteenth place.
Jaime Álvarez opted for a starting eleven made up of Marco, Osky, Jaime Vázquez, Marco Esteban, Lamine, Yayo, Víctor Blanco, Iván, S. Miguélez, Sesé and Enol for today's match. Los Azules emerged strongly for the encounter, and as the minutes ticked by they began to take charge, in what was a very good first-half performance. The only bad news of the first half was the injury to Víctor Blanco, with the midfielder having to be replaced by Dieguito.
CD Guijuelo would also have some good opportunities after the interval, but a fine performance from Marco saw the clean sheet remain intact. Just as it appeared that the match would end in a goalless draw, Dario Hidalgo took centre stage. After picking the ball up inside his own his half, the number 17 looked up and did not hesitate upon seeing the goalkeeper off his line. The incredible strike from well inside his own half was enough to give the B team three very important points in Grupo 1 of the Segunda RFEF.
