Real Oviedo has reached an agreement with Álvaro Lemos to extend the right back's contract, with the new deal seeing the defender remain tied to Los Azules while he completes his recovery process.
Lemos joined the club in the summer of 2024 and suffered a serious injury in March which forced him to undergo surgery. It was a tough piece of news to take on both a personal and a footballing level, but one which has not changed the commitment between the player and the club.
The defender was due to finish his contract on 30th June, but this renewal guarantees that he will go into his recovery as part of the team, working with the medical and coaching staff.
The Club would like to show its support for Álvaro during this period, and we believe that his effort and professionalism will allow him to come back even stronger.
