Real Oviedo player David Costas appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón this morning.
The defender did not hide his disappointment following the first match of the season, describing it as a match that "in general terms both started and ended badly." He did, however, add that "it's only the first league match, though, and now we are going to focus on Racing Club Ferrol."
With sights set on Sunday, Costas highlighted that "we have to perform well at home and do things a lot better, because in Tenerife nothing went right for us. We are only thinking about getting the three points and getting rid of this bad feeling."
"We have only just got started and our best performances are yet to come. I believe that we have a good squad, I like my team, and I am sure that we will reach the same level that we showed last season."
Speaking on an individual level, the defender stated that he was happy and feeling good. "I am feeling very excited, looking forward to having a good season, and hungry to show that we have a very good squad. I have a sense of responsibility to repay the belief that the club and the coaches are showing me. I am sure that the team is going to be better than what we saw in Tenerife."
