Real Oviedo defender David Costas appeared before the media this morning at El Requexón, and stated that he "feels good" following the injury which has kept him side-lined since the start of preseason. "I've been out for quite a long time, but I think that I am back now."

The next match will see Jon Pérez Bolo's side come up against CD Lugo, and the Galician defender is looking forward to the encounter. "We are hoping to bring home the three points. I think that we will get out of our drought now and the goals will end up arriving."

The team is looking solid defensively, and Costas believes that speaks very well of his teammates. "When I get the chance to come back in I will try to put in good performances to hold onto my place, and to make it difficult for the Gaffer when he is making the decisions."

The centre back has watched the start of the season from the stands, and states that he is feeling "calm with what I see. I know what I have in my team." Asked again about the injury, Costas was clear that despite not being able to participate with the group "I haven't had to stop and now I am feeling good and quick, like last year. We will have to see how I feel when competing."

Finally, the Real Oviedo defender declared his optimism for what is coming up for his team and his physical condition. "We have given the injury the time it needed. Whenever the Gaffer tells me he needs me for 10,20, or 80 minutes, I will be there."
