After the suspension of the Rayo Vallecano – Real Oviedo match, just hours before its celebration, due to the condition of the pitch following the complete replacement of the grass, a situation that has directly affected hundreds of fans who were already on their way or even in Madrid, Real Oviedo, together with APARO, has launched an official form to collect information from blue fans who have been affected by this negligence.
Considering that many fans were forced to interrupt or cancel their trips, incurring expenses for transportation, accommodation, and other costs, without the possibility of enjoying the match for which they had organized their trip in advance, our entity, together with the Real Oviedo Supporters' Association, is exploring all possible avenues to file claims with the competent authorities to determine responsibilities and take into account the economic damage caused to our fans.
In order to accurately quantify the extent of the damages caused by this situation, the Club has enabled this form as the official channel for affected fans to register and detail the expenses incurred as a result of the match suspension.
All the information collected will be used exclusively to assess the real impact of what happened and support possible actions to be taken in defense of our supporters and the Club itself, both of which have been affected by a situation that should never have occurred.
From Real Oviedo, we want to once again thank our fans for their exemplary behavior, as well as show our support and solidarity with all Oviedo fans who had their trip to Vallecas frustrated. Likewise, we want to express our gratitude to the Rayo Vallecano fans for their treatment and understanding towards our supporters, as well as our solidarity with them in a situation that has also affected them.
