This Sunday lunchtime saw Real Oviedo Vetusta play another league encounter, with Los Azules triumphing 4-0 over Burgos Promesas.

 

Jaime Álvarez opted for a starting eleven made up of Marco; Charbel, Lucas Laso, Javi Moreno, Osky;  Mangel, Miguel Cuesta, Álex Cardero; Sesé, Víctor Blanco and Mario Fuente. The team outplayed their opponent right from the opening minutes.

 

Los Azules took the lead in the 21st minute of the encounter. Some fine attacking play eventually saw Mario Fuente brought down in the box, and the referee awarded the penalty. Osky made no mistake from the spot, and made the score 1-0. The team from the capital of Asturias did not take their foot off the accelerator, and Marió Sesé doubled the lead in the 31st minute. The teams went in for halftime with the score 2-0.

 

Real Oviedo Vetusta continued to dominate in the second half, linking up well and looking lively in attack. Jaime brought on Gabri and Nacho, before Álex Cardero added the third goal, and then Víctor Blanco made it four a couple of minutes later. Enol, Lucas Pariente and Mascarenhas came on in the final changes, and the match ended with Vetusta defending well to deny Burgos Promesas a consolation goal.

 

The B team picked up a second victory of the season today and bounced back following defeat at El Malecón. Los Azules will travel to Galicia next week to face Arenteiro.
