Real Oviedo, represented by Director Fernando Corral, this lunchtime presented a symbolic cheque to the charity. The funds were raised through the charity auction held to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Day last October.
This season's official pink and white Adidas second kit was used for the first time in October to mark the World Breast Cancer Awareness Day. These unique shirts, bearing the 'Contra el Cáncer' logo on the front, were used by our players in the match against Burgos CF at the Tartiere, before being auctioned for charity.
The auction raised a total of €4,610, which has now been donated in its entirety to 'Contra el Cáncer de Asturias'. Representing Contra el Cáncer in today's act were Yolanda Calero and Margarita Collado. They were joined by Marta Rey, the Head of the Iglesia Skate de Llanera, a work by the artist Okuda. Marta Rey and Okuda kindly allowed us to carry out a photo shoot and record an advert for the charity shirts at the location of their piece of art, free of charge.
