Real Oviedo right back Carlos Isaac appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón today as the first-team squad went back to work.
The defender began by discussing the feeling in the squad following the draw against CD Leganés and ahead of another week in league action. "The team is doing well and approaching it like any other week. We are going to go for the victory against Amorebieta."
Carlos Isaac has a chance of coming in to replace the suspended Lucas in the coming match. Regarding that prospect, he stated that "it's competition for places. He's playing more than I am, but it's up to the Coach. I have to keep working and wait for my opportunity. The Gaffer gave me game time in Leganés and I felt good. I am approaching it like any other week. I am going to give my all, like I always do." With respect to his feelings on an individual level after coming back from injury, the defender commented that "I'm a bit more involved. I am hungry to play in front of our fans. We want to make them happy."
Finally, asked how he sees the team, Carlos Isaac highlighted that "we aren't doing badly. We are a hardworking team and united. We have to hold onto results when we take the lead. We need to start winning at home and get more points if we want to be up towards the top of the table. The fans are always behind us at all times."
