The Real Oviedo winger, Josip Brekalo, appeared in the press room of El Requexón after another day of work at the blue sports facilities.

The Croatian footballer analyzed the team's current situation and his personal feelings after adapting to the new coaching staff, highlighting the positive impact of Guillermo Almada's arrival on the blue bench: “I think we are doing well, now with the new coach we have another boost. He wants to play more aggressively and closer to the opponent's goal.”

In the same vein, the attacker emphasized the importance of high pressing as a hallmark of the team. “The coach insists a lot on pressing and winning duels to move forward. If we recover the ball near the opponent's area, it will be easier to defend because there will be less distance to cover,” he explained.

Regarding the lack of victories, Brekalo was optimistic. “I don't think we are far from achieving it. We just need luck and more confidence,” although he acknowledged the team's main issue: “Our big problem is scoring goals, we only have eight, and when you don't score, it's impossible to win.” Even so, he trusts that the work will pay off: “The chances we create are a result of the team's better pressing. If we keep it up, we will surely score goals.”

On an individual level, the winger was self-critical and patient: “I need more matches to reach my best level, and the team feels the same way.”

Finally, he referred to the next league match against Real Betis, highlighting the challenge of the game and the value of the home advantage. “They are a great team with a lot of quality. At home, we have to go for the win. Everything ahead of us is like a final,” he concluded.
