The coach of Real Oviedo, Guillermo Almada, appeared this Friday in the press room of El Requexón ahead of Saturday's match against Real Betis, delivering a message of confidence, hard work, and ambition.

The blue coach positively assessed the team's morale after the recent matches: "We have taken a step forward, with confidence, but we need to keep improving in various situations. We must maintain the good things we are doing and from there try to add more."

Regarding the lack of accuracy in front of the goal, Almada was clear: "You can train it and explain it to the player, but in the moment of finishing, it is the player who decides. It was a shame we couldn't capitalize on the chances we had, but we have to keep trying to improve the effectiveness of our game. That's why good forwards are so highly valued."

Regarding the transfer market and the forward position, he confirmed that the club is working on strengthening that area: "I know the club is looking for another forward. Several options are being considered.” Additionally, the coach also referred to managing possible departures and arrivals mid-season: "It's difficult to manage. These are atypical situations in the middle of the season, with players who might leave or join. Those of us who are here must stay focused on our goal."

Almada spoke about specific players like Joaquín Delgado, whose incorporation is still under analysis, and highlighted the importance of experienced players like David Costas: "He is a player with good qualities and good stats, but the problem is we use up a spot. He is a young player, and at this moment, it is complicated. We are analyzing it. The idea is to bring someone who can help us, and if no one comes, we will trust Joaquín. We are managing David and regulating his workload with preventive work. He has performed excellently, and we are confident he will continue at this level. He is an important player for us, both on the field and day-to-day. We are counting on him for tomorrow."

Regarding the opponent, the blue coach warned about the level of the verdiblanco team: "They have very good dynamics. They can hurt you in many phases of the game. They have a lot of quality and a squad with great hierarchy and high level. We will have to do things very well. If you're not attentive, it will demand a lot of effort and concentration. We must play and try to contain them."

Almada also appreciated the support of the fans and the connection regained in recent matches: "I am happy for the players that there is this connection with the people. I think the footballing image has been turned around in these two games. Hopefully, we can have a good performance so that we all reconnect through the same jersey."

Finally, the coach was firm when talking about the team's immediate goal: "We are going to give everything to get results. We must win, and we have to continue on this upward path. We will fight 24 hours a day to improve and give everything to get out of this situation," he concluded.
