The Press Room at the Carlos Tartiere today hosted the official presentation of Borja Sánchez, after the academy graduate returned home.

The Oviedo-born midfielder was accompanied by Managing Director Agustín Lleida and Director of Football Roberto Suárez as he appeared before the media, describing his feelings upon returning to his beloved club.

"It all came about during the Christmas, I hadn't planned to return so soon. I was adapting and wanting to prove myself in Mexico. The possibility of returning then came up and everything started to take shape. Real Oviedo is my soft spot. I am very happy to be here today," he explained.

With respect to his departure for Mexico, Borja Sánchez admitted that "it wasn't easy to leave home. It was a difficult situation and I looked for an exit. On a personal level it was very good for me and I believe that I've grown in all aspects. Now I hope to make all that learning available to Real Oviedo."

The Asturian highlighted that "I am really looking forward to going back to playing at the Tartiere. There will be nerves there, but I hope that we get the three points because they would be important ones. I am happy with our form, it's been positive. We have a lot of different profiles and very good players. They will all be important, and I am happy with the squad."

Finally, Borja Sánchez wanted to send a message to the fans, saying that "we are about to beat the season-ticket record, and I encourage everyone to come to the Tartiere this Saturday."
