Real Oviedo player Borja Sánchez appeared before the media this Tuesday at El Requexón. The Asturian, who is happy following the victory against UD Las Palmas, began by highlighting that "we were very clear about the kind of match that we wanted to play, and it worked perfectly. The goal is the reward for the whole team's work."
"They are three very important points. We came away from Leganés wanting to put together consecutive victories, but weren't able to do it despite good performances against Granada and Eibar. We did get the win against Las Palmas, and we are very happy about it."
Asked about the importance of Saturday's fixture against CD Lugo, Borja Sánchez admitted that "experience tells me that this league is a war. Saturday's match is key for us. It's a crucial match in order to be calmer and to get the three points at home."
Finally, the number 10 discussed the importance of homegrown players in this Real Oviedo side. "I believe that all of the homegrown players want to give absolutely everything, always. I believe that we have a special feeling about what it means to play here."
