The Press Room at El Requexón today provided the backdrop as Borja Bastón won October's 'Jugador Cinco Estrellas' Player of the Month award, repeating a feat he achieved in September. The forward, who is one of the top scorers in the division, has become a key part of the Carbayón attack, contributing hard work, intensity, and goals. Fans of Los Azules selected between the five players the beer company had nominated for the recognition through their Twitter profile @futbolmahou.

After receiving the award Borja Bastón appeared before the media who had gathered for the event.

The attacker began by evaluating his fine run of form on a personal level, saying that "I came in with hunger and motivation to do things well. It's been a good start and I'm feeling good out on the pitch. It's important to feel confident and everyone here helps you feel good. The team plays in a way which is good for me."

Regarding the backing he received from the club when they signed him, Borja Bastón highlighted that "the Gaffer and Rubén (Reyes) put their faith in me. They made me feel important and showed me that it was going to be a great year. The Gaffer was a striker and knows what we need in order to play at a good level."

Asked about the next opponent, Leganés, which is the striker's former club, Borja Bastón reasoned that "they need points. They are down at the bottom, but they will be hungry. They were aiming for more from the season. We are difficult to beat and we are going to work to get the three points."

Finally, with respect to the work which he brings to the team, the forward highlighted that "I'm feeling good. I know that I am going to get chances during matches and I want to keep going like this. Strikers live off runs of form, but hard work is unnegotiable. We have to give it everything. Luck is going my way at the moment."
