The Hospital Universitario Central de Asturias (HUCA) once more received its annual Christmas visit from Real Oviedo today, with the club distributing presents to the little boys and girls currently in the ward.
First-team players Borja Bastón, Dani Calvo, Lucas Ahijado and Rodri Tarín were joined by Club President Martín Peláez, mascot Garra, and Gema Ginés, María Iglesias, Ana Buceta, and Grace Walsh from our women's side as they all visited the hospital today. They were accompanied by the Head of the Children's Ward, Corsino Rey. The presents had been donated by the Real Oviedo Foundation, represented by its Head, César Martín Villar.
This is undoubtedly one of the most exciting events at the start of each year. As well as trying to bring some happiness to the little ones who are spending these dates in hospital, we look to encourage them and to help make their recovery process as bearable as possible.
