Real Oviedo Head Coach Álvaro Cervera appeared in the Press Room at the Carlos Tartiere this morning.
Going into Los Azules' fixture in Andorra, the Coach declared that "we are doing well. There are three or four players with knocks, but not with injuries. All of them have trained, and on a fitness level, they are available."
Regarding Andorra's playing style, Cervera reasoned that "there are many teams that try to do it, that train to play in that way. They are the ones that do it best, they take it to the extreme. Andorra have a nice way of playing football, and it is bringing them results."
With respect to the limited time to rest following the Copa del Rey match, the Coach stated that "talking about it is a waste of time. Someone has to complain. Playing another match so soon, with such a long journey, makes no sense. It's not normal to play two matches in such a short space of time. We didn't train yesterday and today we did very little. You can't work like this."
Finally, discussing the team's objectives for the second half of the season, Álvaro Cervera highlighted that "I am going to work on securing survival, but if we are capable of putting together three consecutive wins then we can fight for a playoff spot. If we can't, then we will have to look downwards."
