The coach of Real Oviedo, Guillermo Almada, appeared in the press room after Real Oviedo's 1-1 draw against Villarreal CF. First, the coach analyzed the key play of the repeated penalty. "These kinds of plays have penalized us, and I find it completely unfair to call an invasion on that penalty. In the image, it is very clear that no one is stepping into the area, and it costs us a lot. Matches like this are decided by details, and these kinds of situations have repeatedly gone against us, which causes me great indignation," he explained.

"I would like to see if other more important teams get called for what we were called for in that repeated penalty. To call something like that, it has to be very clear, but anyway, I don't want to keep talking about this," he added.

Regarding the match and the purely football-related aspects, Almada explained that "we were superior, and the draw feels like too little. We were clearer in the second half than in the first, although they didn't create many chances either. Villarreal has a very high-quality squad, and we played a great match; we deserved a better result."

Now, with the match against Elche already in sight, the Uruguayan coach stated, "I only think about beating Elche; I don't think beyond that. I am optimistic about Sunday. We have to see how the players arrive for the match."

"What the fans did is worthy of admiration, and I am happy for the players. On Sunday, we will try to maintain all the good things we have done to try to win. The important thing now is to try to recover the players. There were many who were exhausted," he concluded.
