Real Oviedo's International Department carries out huge work with regards to the training and the personal and social development of young footballers. This work is very important, both for the club and for Grupo Pachuca, and over the course of this season a total of 216 people, of 29 different nationalities, have participated in the different programmes run by the Foundation in Oviedo.
This year the work carried out by Los Azules has witnessed exponential growth and has become a reference point in the field of the development of young talent from every continent. The fine work done throughout the year has born fruit and a total of 43 players, male and female, have received the opportunity to train and/or play matches with our club academy sides.
In addition, our International Department teams have also been present in prestigious competitions such as the Oviedo Cup and the Reze International Tournament in France.
Real Oviedo is also expanding its working model on an international scale. This has led to summer camps being held in Michigan, Chicago, New Jersey, Washington, Celaya (Mexico), Venezuela, Panama and Oman during 2023.
Continuing with the objective of exporting talent, as well as the working methods and philosophy present in the club's academy, the Real Oviedo Foundation's International Department is also present in a summer tournament in León (Mexico), as well as running permanent soccer schools in Salalah and Mascate (Oman), Panama, and in the Real Oviedo-Ajuwa Academy in Lagos, Nigeria, where different social and footballing projects are in place.
All of these activities and initiatives have a main objective of expanding the Real Oviedo brand all around the world, using football as the driving force, and in which the club's values provide an important pillar in all of the activities.
