In the month of March, when Spain and half the world was going through a critical time on a public health level, the 'Jugador 5 Estrellas Mahou' award for Player of the Month was given as always, and was this time dedicated to the Real Oviedo fans.
This symbolic gesture sought to provide necessary encouragement and affection to our fans, within the confines allowed by such a limited situation as the country was going through at that time.
Today, a few months later, the presentation of the award took place, and the prize will remain in the Real Oviedo Museum for the time being. It serves as a memory of the painful and difficult times caused by COVID19, in which our fans made us feel truly proud. The presentation was attended by César Martín, the club's Head of Institutional Relations, and Miguel Sanz, Real Oviedo's Head of Social Matters. Pablo Bernardez and Fernando Hevia were present on behalf of Mahou.
