Real Oviedo have reached an agreement to receive the services of the midfielder Sergio Tejera for the next two seasons, with an optional additional season depending on objectives.

The player is 28 years old and was born on May 28, 1990 in Barcelona. He was trained in Espanyol’s junior categories and later signed with Chelsea FC in the 2006/07 season. Following his term with the English team, the Catalonian joined Mallorca B and participated in the Play Off to be promoted to Segunda B against Real Oviedo. He scored the goal that provoked penalty shootout. In the following season, the Catalonian alternated from the reserve team to Mallorca’s first team and debuted in Primera División.

In 2012, after four seasons in Mallorca, Sergio Tejera would sign with Espanyol, where he completed one and a half seasons in the highest category of Spanish football, logging a total of 27 matches played. In the 2013/14 season’s winter market, the Catalonian midfielder would join Alavés, where he played a total of 27 matches. He then signed with Nástic de Tarragona, which is the team he is coming from. Tejera has remained with the Catalonian team for three seasons, being one of the most used players of the team with a total of 96 matches played.

Tejera is a quality midfielder, who is defined by his good foot, his hard work, and his skill with the ball.

After submitting to a medical examination at Clínica Asturias, the football player will be a part of training sessions on July 9th and will work under the orders of Juan Antonio Anquela.
