Real Oviedo and Club Pachuca have reached an agreement for Salomón Rondón to join Los Azules on loan until 30th June 2026.
The 35-year-old forward was born on 16th September 1989 in Caracas, Venezuela. Having started his career in his home country, the striker represented UD Las Palmas for two seasons in Segunda División. His good performances caught the attention of Málaga CF, where Rondón became an important player and scored a total of 25 goals over the course of two seasons in the top flight of Spanish football.
Following his time in Spain, the Venezuelan played for important clubs such as Rubin Kazan, Zenit, West Bromwich Albion, Newcastle United, CSK, Everton, and River Plate, among others. His fine performance on a club level was accompanied by his role with the national team, where he has established himself as one of the greatest Venezuelan players of all time. He has played more than 100 matches and scored 47 goals for his national team.
Having spent the last two seasons with Pachuca, scoring 36 goals in 70 matches, the forward now comes to the Asturian capital as the second signing of the summer transfer window to strengthen the club in attacking areas.
