Carlos Pomares spoke to the gathered Press today at El Requexón, discussing the team's readiness for the upcoming promotion playoffs: "We are fully prepared and see this as a maximum opportunity to achieve our goals."

 

On a personal level, Pomares was happy to feel important during this last stretch of the season and stressed the significance of the match against SD Eibar: "You're playing for the season, arriving better or worse. I don't think it (the last match) has any influence. The players like these games."

 

Talking about experience in these playoff matches, the left back explained, "History doesn't count; it is more about the players in the squad at that time. Eibar have not managed to do it for several seasons, and they have had players who have played it. We can do something very big; we must play it calmly. It doesn't matter if you play home or away first. You're going to have to go through both stadiums. Some will tell you one thing, and others will tell you the opposite. Teams have been promoted with both situations."
