The press room at El Requexón was the site of the official presentation of Javi Muñoz as a new player for Real Oviedo.
The native of Madrid, who practiced under the direction of Juan Antonio Anquela for the first time this morning, was accompanied by César Martín, who gave him a hearty welcome and highlighted that, “He’s a midfielder that played really well last season. We’re convinced that he is going to help us a lot. We want to thank him for his willingness to join the project here. He is a very skilled player, he’s good at long passes, and he really likes to attack the defense. He often attacks at the rival’s penalty box, participates in game strategy, and scored a good number of goals last season.”
Later, the new player for Real Oviedo explained that, “I decided on Real Oviedo because it’s a great club, and they’ve told me wonderful things about it. I didn’t doubt it for even a second”. After a complicated year with Lorca for the whole club, Javi Muñoz believes that, “I grew a lot personally. It’s a very demanding division, and this year I’ll try to help the team with everything that I can and have a good season. I’m aware that the level of expectations in this club is higher, it’s an ambitious club, and I’ll try to work my hardest every week so that I can do my best”.
When asked about his first impressions, Javi Muñoz commented that, “The facilities are perfect, it’s a very nice environment, the locker room is very close.” He defined himself as, “a hardworking player”. The Madrid native has come to an agreement with Alavés to play for Real Oviedo on loan, and he is “proud” that they were willing to bet on him.
