The Estadio de Espiñedo today hosted Real Oviedo Vetusta's fourth 2ªRFEF match of the season, with Los Azules travelling to face CD Arenteiro. The hosts would run out 1-0 winners.

Jaime Álvarez opted for a starting eleven Marco; Charbel, Javi Moreno, Lucas Laso, Gabri Rabanillo; Mangel, Álex Cardero, Miguel Cuesta; Sesé, Víctor Blanco and Mario Fuente. The first half was a hard-fought affair, with the two teams trying to show their credentials, and the match was played at a high level. Sesé had a good opportunity, but his effort hit the side netting. The second half saw the home team take a step forward and begin to play in the Vetusta half. The B team had to be switched on in defence to deal with the Galician side's threat. CD Arenteiro took the lead in the 72nd minute, however, with a goal from Escobar. The B team had one final chance from a corner, but were unable to convert. Yayo, Nacho, René Pérez, Enol and Masca all featured as substitutes.

Real Oviedo Vetusta will have an opportunity to make amends for today's result when they face Ourense CF at home next weekend. The encounter will kick off at 16:30 on Saturday at El Requexón.
