With the first team going back to work today at El Requexón, Real Oviedo forward Matheus Aiás appeared before the gathered media.
After the team picked up another three points with Saturday's victory over Amorebieta, the Brazilian described the feeling within the changing room, saying "we're doing well. It was important to pick up points, particularly at home. We took confidence from it and go to Miranda in good shape. It will be difficult, but we are going to Miranda to win."
Regarding his feelings on a personal level and the confidence with which he approaches the remainder of the season, Matheus reasoned that "it's all about the daily work and the training sessions. We all want to play, and we have to be prepared to perform for the team. I am continuing to do my job, look for my opportunity, and make sure I am prepared."
Asked about his return to Anduva, a place where he spent two seasons, the Brazilian attacker said that "it's a special match. I am going back to a ground where I was happy. I am very happy to go back, iI will be very happy to be at Anduva again."
Finally, with respect to the differences between his stay at Anduva and the current season in Oviedo, Matheus highlighted that "I feel more prepared than I did in Miranda, but I'm not getting the consistency that I did there. It's a process, I'm holding onto that. I think I can be happier even here than I was in Miranda."
