Real Oviedo and Red Star have reached an agreement for the transfer of attacking midfielder Luka Ilić, who has signed a deal with the Asturians running until June 2028.
The player is 26 years old and was born on 2nd July 1999 in Nis (Serbia). After coming through the youth ranks at Red Star Belgrade he was signed by Manchester City in 2017. While with the English side he had a number of different loan moves: Red Star, NAC Breda, Twente, and TSC Backa Topola. During the January transfer window of 2022 he signed for Troyes, before returning to Red Star Belgrade in July 2024.
Luka Ilić became a regular starter with the Serbians last season, playing 34 matches in SuperLiga Serbia, scoring 12 goals and picking up 6 assists. He also made his Champions League debut with Red Star Belgrade.
Ilić made his Serbian international debut in a friendly against the USA in January 2023, scoring his first goal for his country.
