Real Oviedo midfielder Luismi appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón today.
Following yesterday's victory over Cartagena, the Andalusian explained that "I hadn't played the full ninety minutes for a long time and had been looking forward to it. It was a very demanding match, but we got three important points and I'm very happy. I am hungry and ambitious to keep growing."
Asked about the work being done by the squad, the midfielder reasoned that "the team is in an adaptation period still, with a lot of new players. Victories have to arrive during this process, because it will be good for everyone." In addition, regarding the differences between his first and second spells at the club, Luismi said that "the team I first joined had very clear objectives. We have to improve and grow during the season. We still have a lot to work on. There's a difficult match coming up, but we are hungry to do things well and get the third consecutive victory."
Finally, with respect to what it meant to him to play in front of the fans at the Carlos Tartiere once more, Luismi admitted that "it's exciting to play in front of fans again. I didn't get to enjoy it during my first spell here because of the pandemic. I am happy we were able to give them the victory yesterday."
