Real Oviedo wing back, Diegui Johannesson, appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón following this morning’s training session.
After the first two training sessions of the week, the Asturian declared that, “the team is in good shape, and treating this week like any other. What happened in Zaragoza is a part of football, and all we can do now is work.” In addition, the Carbayón defender pointed out that, “we are going through a little rough patch, but we need to stay calm. We just need to keep working to get results. If you look at it, every team has poor spells, and we hope that we have had ours now and that it will be as short as possible. It’s all about working and getting results.”
Real Oviedo have another chance to pick up three points this Friday when Barcelona B visit the Carlos Tartiere. With respect to the clash and what it means to return to the Carlos Tartiere, Johannesson stated that,“there’s no time to get down. We have another opportunity to win three points which would change everything. We are strong at home, and we need to keep going like this. We hope we can get the three points, and we are working hard in order to do so.”
Asked about the way in which the dressing room views the team’s form, after previously going ten games unbeaten, the full back said that, “we are aware that we weren’t ‘Gods’ before, and we aren’t the worst now. We are on a poor run and we want to change it now. We need to stay united, be a team, and keep training with belief.”
Finally, regarding the impact that Saúl Berjón’s absence will have on the team going into the match against the Catalan side, Diegui believed that, “it’s a blow for us, but we have a lot of teammates who can do a good job there. Saúl is one of the best players in the division and he brings a lot to us,” he concluded.
