Real Oviedo midfielder and academy graduate Javi Mier today signed an agreement to extend his ties with Los Carbayones until June 2025.
Having come through the youth ranks at Los Azules, the academy product broke his way into the first team in the 2020/2021 season, while he was still registered as a B-team player. He had previously made his first-team debut in a match against Málaga on 5th January 2020 in the Segunda División. The player is now in his third season as a Segunda División player, accumulating more than 2,600 minutes since making his debut.
In addition, Javi Mier has been called up several times for Spanish national youth teams.
This renewal sees Real Oviedo maintain its loyal backing for the academy and for players raised and trained at El Requexón.
