Real Oviedo defender Simone Grippo today appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón, answering the questions put to him by members of the media.
What's your assessment of the four matches so far?
- I see a lot of positive things, but we are just missing a victory. We had a difficult match on Saturday, which, when it was eleven against eleven, I felt we were going to win. We went down to nine men and put in a great effort.
3 points from 12 so far. What would you say to those fans who don't feel optimistic when looking solely at the points tally?
- I am not going to ask for patience, because we are the first in wanting to win. I ask them to believe in us. We are working and we are feeling good. Points are important and we are also impatient to get the first win.
How do you approach the derby, and what are matches like this one like?
- There's no need to lie, it's a special match. I believe that derbies have their own rules and we have to approach it like we have been approaching the other matches, but we have to look to get the three points.
Does form affect morale going into a match like one?
- Derbies have their own rules. We have to battle the full ninety minutes, it's going to be a very intense match.
Will the changes to the backline affect the solidity shown in recent matches?
- There will be changes, but whoever comes in is going to give 100%.
Are those suspensions important going into the derby?
- The players coming in will do very well and lend us a hand.
