Center midfielder Ramón Folch, Real Oviedo's second addition going into the coming season, was presented this morning in the press room at the Carlos Tartiere.

The Catalonian, one of the players with the best stats last season, was accompanied by club president Jorge Menéndez Vallina, who welcomed Folch, ensuring that he has come "to reinforce the team. It's a club with an incredible history and incredible supporters, and we hope you feel comfortable here".

On his behalf, Ramón Folch wanted to take the time to "thank Real Oviedo for the trust they have placed (in me)", mentioning that "in these past days I have felt the warmth of the supporters, and I want to thank them for that". Additionally, the midfielder defined himself as "a player of few words, who enjoys working and competing, I am awaiting eagerly for the season to begin so I can show the excitement I am coming with". Afterwards,
the Catalonian attended to the reporters in the press room of the Carlos Tartiere.

In regards to how his contract with Real Oviedo came about, Ramón Folch confirmed that "after the first contact, I got excited. When Real Oviedo called me, my eyes were opened. I am joining an ambitious project and I want to start working now".

When asked about the impressive campaign he completed with Reus this past season and his progression from year to year, the Catalonian believes that "each year I have improved a little. I had a good campaign this past year with Reus and I hope the same happens this year, I want to improve. I am coming to a historic club that wants to return to what it deserves. We will work day in and day out to achieve that goal".

Concerning his positioning on the field and the positions he could fill in Anquela's team, Folch indicated that "I am accustomed to playing with two holding midfielders, although I can do it in defensive and offensive aspects. I will adapt myself to whatever the trainer asks of me, I want to help the squad". Furthermore, when asked about his notable numbers this past season, Folch responded, "The stats surprised me, I'm not really in favor of them. I strive to work, and that's what matters. I will try to work in the best way possible".

Finally, when asked about Anquela and if he has interacted with him in the past, Ramón Folch responded, "I don't know him. I know he is a trainer with personality, who brings out the best in each player. I have a few friends who have trained with him and who have spoken very highly of him to me. I look forward to meeting him and finding out what he wants from me".

Afterwards, Ramón Folch went out to meet the fans who awaited in the stands of the Carlos Tartiere, and he also visited the participants at Real Oviedo Campus, who welcomed him chanting his name.
