Real Oviedo defender Dani Calvo appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón today, ahead of another training session under Álvaro Cervera.

Having now completed his first workout with the group following his injury, the centre back stated that "yesterday was three weeks since it happened, and little by little I'm starting to train with the team and feeling good. The way it develops will set the timeframe, and I don't want to take risks. I need to be cautious and work to get back."

Asked what is needed to turn the form around, Dani Calvo reasoned that "it's all about staying calm. We have to refresh ourselves mentally. Cervera is focusing on the importance of defending well and not conceding much, in order to get points. We all know that the mental aspect is about clearing our heads and only thinking about Monday. If we get three points then we can go on a run to do much more than we have done so far." Regarding Jon Pérez Bolo's departure, the captain commented that "it's not nice when a coach gets sacked. The daily work was good, but we couldn't take the ideas onto the pitch and that's hard. We were blocking ourselves. It's not only the coach's fault, we are all responsible. This situation is the fault of everyone. We have to stick together and get through this."

Finally, discussing the upcoming match schedule, with midweek fixtures, the defender highlighted that "it's tight, but we have to get points to move up the table. We have to win at home, because the start has been disastrous."
