This Thursday saw a presentation in the Press Room at the Carlos Tartiere, as Carlos Isaac was officially presented as a new Real Oviedo player.
The right back was joined by the club's Acting President, Manuel Paredes. Paredes welcomed him to Real Oviedo and wished him the best of luck during his time at the club.
The defender then spoke to the gathered media, beginning by explaining the reasons which had convinced him to choose Real Oviedo. "I liked the project, they are bringing in good players. I know Tomeu (Nadal) and he has told me very good things about Real Oviedo. I know the players from last year. It's a solid team which plays good football."
Regarding his fitness and what he can contribute to the team, Carlos Isaac stated that "I'm doing well. The Gaffer asked me and I told him that I am available. I feel good and I can help the team, whether that's as a starter or from the bench. I am a very physical player and I like to get forward. I also defend well. I am going to work to improve and have a great season, and to get better as a footballer."
Finally, asked whether joining Real Oviedo in the final days of the transfer window was a handicap, the full back reasoned that "it doesn't matter, I've had a good preseason. The team has welcomed me well and I have to adapt quickly."
