Center back Carlos Hernández, Real Oviedo´s first addition during the summer transfer period, was presented this morning in the press conference room at the Carlos Tartiere.
The *jienense*, who has plenty of experience in Liga 1|2|3, was accompanied by César Martin, Director of Institutional Relations, who described Carlos as "a very complete player, with an incredible physical capacity, dominant in the air, potent, and efficient. He´s come with a desire to compete and fight to reach our goals and we are grateful for his willingness to come to Real Oviedo. We welcome him and wish him the best of luck."
On his behalf, Carlos Hernández began by expressing his "gratitude for an incredible club, with an overwhelming social presence and great footballers... The truth is that as soon as I knew it would be a possibility, I didn't hesitate for even a second. What has surprised me most about the club was the huge number of supporters that came out to Lugo the last time we met, filling the streets with color. For a footballer player, that is what truly makes you feel like a footballer¨.
Additionally, when asked about the keys to success in the coming season, Carlos Hernández indicated the necessity of "minimizing errors, that is what will carry us through the end of the season and on, to be able to build upon winning streaks¨.
He has yet to speak with Anquela, even though they both come from the same city of Jaén, and Carlos Hernández preferred not to speak about himself either, saying "I will have to show it all on the field, which is the most important. I know there is a strong roster, and I will try to learn from all of them, which is also important¨.
Afterwards, Carlos Hernández was treated to a warm welcome from the fans who waited for him in the stands of the Carlos Tartiere, and he also paid a visit to the participants at Real Oviedo Campus, who chanted his name emphatically as he approached. After answering a few questions and taking photos, Carlos left to begin preparations for July 10, when he will return to pre-season training along with his team-mates.
