Real Oviedo defender Carlos Hernández today appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón.
Was Saturday's triumph necessary in order to bring calm and confidence to the changing room?
Everybody wants to win and it was important to get the three points. We have to keep improving. The other day was important, and we have to keep going like that.
Is it difficult for a centre back to perform at a good level and maintain their competitive sharpness when they haven't built up a run of games as a starter?
I didn't have a preseason and I've found it hard to get back fit. Now I have to work hard, so that I can play at a good level. I'm feeling great and hope to continue in this fashion.
Do you think your performance in Las Palmas could allow you to keep your place in the starting eleven?
I have to make it difficult for the Coach. I am going to do everything possible to perform at my best. I came back into the starting eleven the other day, and the victory means that I came back into it in the best way possible.
The club deemed you unsellable. Did you consider leaving Oviedo this summer?
At the end of the day, when you are happy and feel valued then you have no reason to leave. I am happy here and would never consider leaving.
Does the team feel more comfortable against teams that look to have the ball and attack?
We know that in this division you have to have a strong core and that we have to be strong.
The Coach doesn't see the goals conceded from set pieces as a worry yet, but rather down to individual mistakes. Does it worry the squad that you have made the same mistakes in the last two matches?
It's not something we should worry about too much. We have to not concede in order to get points, and keep our concentration so that we don't make mistakes.
The 4 centre backs have a lot of experience in this division. Could it be the most competitive position in the team, and the most difficult one to break into the starting eleven in?
I found it hard to get in. There are four players of a high level, who compete, and we have to make it difficult for the Coach. It will be a good thing for the team.
Do you think that it's crucial for the team to become strong at home?
We have to go out to compete, whatever the ground. If we are doing well and playing at our level, we can compete against anybody.
Do the good performances in the last 2 matches indicate an improvement? Is this the path to follow?
We are feeling good and still have time to do anything. The other day demonstrated that we have the players to compete against anybody.
What are you expecting from Castellón?
They are a team that looks to wide play. It  will be a difficult match. We have to get out of the form that we were in, just like we did the other day against Las Palmas.
