Real Oviedo forward Blanco Leschuk today appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón.
Speaking as the first team returned to training, the Argentinian highlighted that "the squad is doing well. We know the situation we are in, but things get solved through hard work. We're coming off the back of a difficult match where we were unlucky, but we are united."
Regarding the Castellón encounter, Gustavo reasoned that "that's football. Last time out we did what we had to do, but now we have to work to improve on the mistakes we made. Whenever you lose some anxiety creeps in, but we have to continue to be united in order to overcome the situation. We have an important match coming up now. We have to approach it in the right way and get a good result."
Asked about the fixture schedule and the demands of each matchday, Blanco Leschuk said that "it's the same for everyone. You can lose against the team at the bottom and win or draw against the league leaders. This is football. We have to improve and demonstrate the work we do during the week. All of the matches are important and have the same number of points available."
With respect to his feelings on an individual level, the attacker commented that "I'm a striker and I want to score goals. I haven't got many and I am self-critical. Things aren't going as I would want, but there's no option but to keep working."
Asked about his substitute role in previous matches, the forward stated that "that's the Coach's decision. I am happy with the Coach. He wants what is best for the team and I will always support him. Ziganda is the team's commander and he knows when I should play and when I shouldn't."
Finally, regarding the objective for the remainder of the season, after previously commenting that he wanted to fight for the playoffs with Real Oviedo, Gustavo said that "on a personal level you always want to do as well as possible, both for yourself and for the team. The situation is different now and we have to get through what is coming. We have to improve and get good results to push up the table."
