Matchday 5 in Grupo I of the Segunda División B saw Real Oviedo Vetusta come up against CD Numancia today, with Emilio Cañedo's team playing out a goalless draw.
Los Azules returned to action with a starting eleven made up of B. Hórreo; Prada, Ando, Pedro Inglés, David Ámez; Guille Bernabéu, Rober, Erik Aguado; V. Teles, Javi Cueto and Ton Ripoll, after having had last weekend off. The first half saw both teams putting a huge amount of intensity into the match, with Los Azules showing good organisation and great defensive stability as they stood up to Numancia. Vanderson had the best chance of the first half, but the ball ended up grazing the post. The two teams went in for halftime with the score 0-0.
Things continued in the same fashion after the break, with Numancia beginning to take control of the game, but little by little Los Azules began to create and pose a threat to the visitors' goal. Real Oviedo Vetusta had several chances to grab a winner, but they were unable to make the most of them.
The points were shared today at El Requexón. Real Oviedo Vetusta now begin to think about their next match, which will see them face CD Lealtad at Les Caleyes on Sunday.
