Real Oviedo forward, Miguel Linares, appeared in the Press Room at El Requexón after the first team’s training session.

After the third training session of the week, the striker admitted that, “we are hungry for Sunday’s match to arrive now. We want to get the three points. It’s true that we didn’t get the results we wanted from the last two games, and now we have to turn things around. On Sunday we have a crucial match at home to keep our hopes alive.”

Asked what he expects to see from Real Oviedo in the clash against Lorca, the attacker believes that, “results are what matter right now. We are strong at home, we have a chance to fight to the end, and we are going to go for it. A team that has already been relegated is visiting us, but it won’t be easy. They have good players and they will make it a difficult match.”

With respect to the team’s league position, currently lying three points off the playoff places, Miguel Linares stated that, “we’ve dropped out of the playoffs, but we want to finish inside them. It’s important for us. If we win on Sunday we could be level on points with the playoff positions, and that’s how we have to look at it. Only a win will do.”

Finally, regarding his role in the team and his chances of starting against Lorca, the captain said that, “I’m ready to give everything whenever the Coach calls on me. I feel good physically and confident,” he concluded.
